Update Java

To check for updates to Java:
Close all programs and windows.

Open Internet Explorer.  Go to Java.com.  Click on the link "Verify Installation".  Click on the icon "Verify Installation".  This will check to see that you have the latest version of Java.

If you don't have the latest version, follow the instructions to download and install the latest version. 

Once the latest version is installed you must remove any previous versions.  Close all programs and windows.  Click on "Start".  Click on "Control Panel" (on some operating systems you have to click "Settings" first).  Click on "Add/Remove Programs.  Remove all older versions of Java.  Close all windows.

Reboot your computer.
